SESSION RETAINER & PAYMENTS

Your retainer fee is required along with a signed contract, and a signed model release to reserve your desired session date and time.  This Non-Refundable Retainer & Reservation Fee is always collected to secure session on photographer’s calendar in order to prevent Life Petals Photography & Design from booking other clients, and so as to not result in economic loss. No session will be secured verbally or without this fee and a signed contract.

Once a session fee is paid in full, it is non-refundable but certainly transferable if necessary to reschedule your session. A session may be reschedule up to 1 time at clients request within 90 days of originally scheduled session, or a new session fee may be required.

Current prices are valid up to 30 days from initial inquiry or quote. After that time, prices are subject to change without notice.

All session fees, prints, and products will incur an 6.25% sales tax.

Payments can be made via any major credit card. 

EXPENSES

Locations further than 40 miles round trip from Life Petals Photography & Design (zip code 01843) will incur a travel fee of $0.575/mile.

Locations that incur a fee to take portraits will be added to session fee.

Any of these expenses must be paid ahead of time along with session fee.

If your location is in excess of 40 miles where I will be flying to the session, client will receive a custom travel invoice from Life Petals Photography & Design, and client shall be responsible for travel costs, including but not limited to airline reservations, hotel reservations, local transportation, and a per diem food stipend.

RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATION

It is understood that emergencies and things beyond our control happen.  An adequate notice of a minimum of 48 hours is desired to reschedule your session, though earlier notice is always preferred.

Cancelling your session in entirety without notice ie. a no show, forfeits your initial non-refundable retainer immediately. Any late arrival to your session, time will not be extended or rescheduled.

PROOFING & ORDERING POLICIES

Client will not receive raw or unedited files, as well as every image, but only the best images at photographer’s discretion. Photographer reserves the right to discard blurry photos, eyes closed or any imaged not depicting style.

Proofs will be shown at your Reveal & Premiere Ordering Session. At this time you must choose and order your desired collection or products from a la carte pricing.

Print orders are not processed until final payment has been received and will be available for delivery within 4 weeks of receipt of your final payment. Album orders or custom designs may take longer after client approval and receipt of final payment.

Because all of our products are custom made/printed for you individually, all sales are final. If an item is damaged during the shipping process, please call us and we will work with you on receiving a replacement for the damaged product. Digital images may not be returned for any reason.

PUNCTUALITY

It is very important that you are on time for your session in order to stay on schedule. Please make every effort to be prompt in order to take advantage of your full session. In the event that the client is late to session, the scheduled ending time will remain the same, time will not be extended or rescheduled.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In the event that the weather does not cooperate, we will work around any inclement weather. The session may be rescheduled at the photographer’s discretion for next available time.

CLIENT USAGE & DIGITALS

The client is obtaining prints for personal use only. Client may not modify or alter images in any way. This includes images with logo/watermark.

Upon distribution of high-resolution images, only limited usage is granted as set forth in print release. Life Petals Photography & Design authorizes client to print these images based on release.

If purchasing high-resolution images, Life Petals Photography & Design provides digital downloads of purchased pictures and instructions will always be provided.

COPYRIGHT

Without Exception, Life Petals Photography & Design retains all copyright ownership of all images created and site content. It is illegal to scan, copy, print or reproduce images obtained from Life Petals Photography & Design in any manner without expressed written consent. This includes images from our website and social media. Life Petals Photography & Design reserves the right to use an image in any form, including but not limited to, advertising, publishing, and copyright.

F.A.Q.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

We are based in Lawrence, MA a city in the Merrimac Valley area. We are open to shooting anywhere in Essex and Middlesex County.  We love to travel and can have our bags packed pretty quick if you desire a further commute and provide travel expenses. We do not have a studio as we are exclusively an on location, natural light photographers.

Q. WHEN SHOULD YOU CONTACT & WHEN SHOULD YOU SCHEDULE YOUR SESSION?

A. MATERNITY -  You should contact when you are at least 24 weeks pregnant.

The session is typically scheduled between your 32-36 week phase, though all women are different, so we will work together to determine the best and most comfortable time for you. 

FRESH 48 - Should be contacted at least 2 months in advance of your due date.

We can't schedule these in advance unless you have a c-section scheduled, so we will be on call for you leading up to your due date. We aim to be there within 4-6 hours after you give birth, we will meet you in your maternity room to document those first moments of your little one. 

NEWBORN - Should be contacyed at least 2 month in advance of your due date.

schedule posed sessions within the first 4-14 days of life. Lifestyle sessions can be done up to 6 weeks. Please contact us within the first 24 hours of giving birth, to find the best day for your session.

MILESTONES - Should be contacted at least 1 month in advance for each milestone.

Schedule for 2 weeks after your baby reaches the milestone. With the exception of the 1 year cake smash, can be scheduled 2 weeks before in case photos are needed for a birthday party. 

PORTRAITS - Should be contacted at least 1 month in advance of the date you would like to schedule.

Q. DO YOU REQUIRE A RETAINER and reservation fee?

A. Yes, and the RETAINER & RESERVATION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE

If you purchased one of our portrait sessions, a 50% retainer is due to hold your session date and time.  The remaining balance will be due 10 days before your session.

If you purchased one of Petal by Petal packages, the retainer will be $250, and The remaining balance will be seperated into monthly payments. Balance needs to be paid in full 30 days before your last session.

Q. HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED IN THE SHOOT?

A. Portraits: Only the individual being photographed.

Maternity Portrait Sessions: allow up to 4 people. 5 or more people is an additional $15 per person up to 6 people. 7 or more people, please contact us.

Newborn: more than one baby i.e. (Twins, Triplets ect.) is a $25 charge per additional baby. Family members allowed up to 3, not including newborn/s. Any additional people is $15/person up to 5 people.

Petal By Petal: more than one baby i.e. (Twins, Triplets ect.) is a $25 charge per additional baby per session. Family members allowed up to 3, not including newborn/s. Any additional people is $15/person up to 5 people.

Q. WHERE ARE THE PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN?

A. We will meet you at a location of your choice or we can suggest a location that will fit the style of backdrop you are looking for, or we can meet you at your home.

Newborn Session are in the comfort of your home.

Q. HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST?

A. A typical session last 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on your session level.

A newborn session will take 2-3 hours, depending how your baby is doing.

Q. DO YOU PROVIDE MAKE-UP AND HAIR?

A. If interested in getting your makeup done by a make-up artist. We can get you in contact with talented individuals we have worked with previously. Please keep in mind that these individuals are independent artist from life petals photography & design and have their own fees.

Q. HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY SHOOT?

A. While you're waiting for your session date, we will send you a styling guide to help you prepare for your session. We also request that you send us a mood board at least 2 weeks before your session from pictures that you've seen either on our page or elsewhere (preferably on our page) of the look you are trying to achive. YOU CAN MAKE A MOODBOARD ON WWW.GOMOODBOARD.COM or if you have a pinterest account please make a new board that you can share with us.

Q. WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE THE PHOTOS?

A. You will see your full gallery at your viewing and ordering session which is typically with 2-3 weeks of session date.
